Commitment to country is the caveat. As to Lee, there is to much there to go into, and the War Between the States is in no way relevant to current circumstances. There are no clear lines of dissension here. Troops ordered in to handle rioting, ala, the Rodney King riots, is one thing, this is a different matter, entirely.
Troops ordered to fire on US citizens will have the question of the legality of those orders in play. It's not cut and dry, at all.

Personally I would wholly welcome the South splitting off and going its own way. I'm tired of sharing citizenship and a country with all of them. Most of them sympathize with the Confederacy anyway. I would love to be rid of them. In winning the Civil War in 1865, my region as well as the rest of the country lost.

Everyone in the US military up to and including our Commander in Chief is sworn to uphold The Constitution not to gun down innocent Americans in the name of big banks or to maintain high profit margins for the Military Industrial Complex.

The fact that the people DO NOT LIKE your wacko political ideas, and the govt. refuses to go along with your wacko political ideas, is not equivalent to "the government betraying the people."

I'm FINE with the govt. Sure, there are things I'd like to improve. Sure, I HATE Repukes and Repuke ideology, but the last thing I want is any overthrowing of this govt for a handful of wackos and nutjobs who have their OWN f'd up ideas of how things should be run instead. Go start your own mentally deranged government elsewhere.
