Bla bla bla. Sound familiar? Because I think it does.

Of course. Thereby necessitating its existence.

You're white...you can afford to be cavalier, but the Rooney Rule exists for a reason.

We're white, we wouldn't understand this sort of thing.

Well, at least one of your diversity entries hasn't been dealt with in a PC manner. That would be gender equal since very few women have ever played football in the NFL.

I know of an example of gender equal that has worked out very well for all the good old white boys at the team level. Kansas U hired a female to be their basketball team's weight coach and have become steadily better since that time. The head coach was against it but now loves the woman more than any male strength coach he could have had. She has been involved with outstanding BB teams first at UCONN and the past 8 years at KU. The players love her and her personal programs for all of them. Maybe some of the professional football teams should consider her services.

DD... I may be white, but so what? When I say I don't discriminate, quite simply I don't. I don't have an agenda, nor an axe to grind. Maybe it's because I was born in a different time, and have always judged an individual on their character and how they treat me. I'm quite sure if you and I met on the street and had a beer together, we'd get along just fine.

You don't have to live here.

Pointing out the truth is "race baiting?" You can't tell me that there were not many coaches, i.e. Lovie Smith, who weren't qualified to get hired? Smit went 10-6 and was fired, and didn't get a job, while Andy Reid went 4-12 and was scooped up immediately. Nothing more than the old boy network.
Maybe you should consider who Reid is following. I was sure that that old defensive lineman would do an outstading job, even with the Chiefs. Well he had a good defense, some days, and some outstanding backs who just couldn't get it done. Sure DD is right about time and place.

NFL hiring issues are black and white, with retreads all over - The Washington Post
Lets have real fair diversity in sports like the NFL then, where 70% of the players are white, 13% black, 12% Hispanic, 5% Asian etc...

This affirmative action BS has cost our society more than it has helped. You have Billionaires that are trying to win, I think they are going to pick who they think is the best candidate.....I dont know about you, but the last think I want to do is sit in an interview room knowing that I am only there because of my skin color......That crap is degrading......
