I'd love to see that technology evolve ...... I want to be there when the first woman is handed a child support order.
I'm guessing artificial womb technology is not going to make a difference. I'll bet dollars to donuts feminists will fight it tooth and nail. The thing is, reproductive freedom isn't really about a woman's control over her body. It's about power. An artificial womb will let men reverse the old feminist saying and claim that a man needs a woman like a fish needs a bicycle. Feminists will absolutely not want that, just as some feminists oppose the birth control pill for men for similar reasons. Feminists only oppose inequality between the sexes if women are on the short end of it.

Well I'll be the first to admit this, but all of a sudden we will have an oversupply of children without parents.

The bio-dads may opt for custody.

Foster parenting might also be more feasible with the funding increase provided by all those support-paying non-custodial mothers.

If you think it is perfectly fine to plant yourself in front of a clinic, "praying".....then yes, you do.

Gee, what a heart warming scenario.

Even more children thrown into the fostercare system.....such a wonderful way to grow up.

Maybe we should just put all of them in government run baby farms.....that'll work too.

BTW....why would a woman who would normally abort because of her financial inability to afford to care for a child seek out such technology, rather than just aborting?

And, just who is going to pay to build, maintain and operate these artificial wombs? The parents who do not want a child in the first place because they don't have any money?

Oh wait......the taxpayers of course.....silly me.

They can pay for the artifical wombs and then pay foster parents to raise the kids.......great idea!

And.....I wouldn't count on enough baby daddys stepping up to make much of a difference, considering the vast majority of them are just fine with their SO's having an abortion.

"Having sex is not consenting to pregnancy."

But it is knowingly accepting the risk of pregnancy.
