Seems reasonable to who? If someone breaks into my home I want the most deadly weapon I can get in my hand.

Focus on the most deadly weapons seems reasonable.
Focus on the dirtbags and sicko's that commit these crimes, and focus on trying to protect places where people/children gather in large numbers. I see a lot of "shovel-ready" jobs in building more prisons and facilities for the criminally insane. Criminals are arrested over and over again for felonies and gun felonies, and they are back on the street creating mayhem with guns in a year or two, if not sooner.

How about a Howitzer?

We already have the largest prison population in the world. Yet there are places with many less prisoners and much less crime, so I'm not sure your correlation is necessarily correct.

Our society has degenerated more than some societies in which there is much less crime. Children are left to raise themselves, with no fathers, alcoholic or drug addicted mothers - no discipline, no values...and I am not just talking about inner-city ghettos - this is becoming more and more the case in middle and even wealthy populations, and rural populations as well.

I'm sorry, I thought we were having a logical conversation... would you like to get back to that or would you now like to talk about artillery pieces used decades ago in war? Do you even know what a Howitzer is?

Focus on the most deadly weapons seems reasonable.
How many "dreaded black" weapons have been used to kill people last year? Tell you what, I'll let you throw shotguns and all rifles into the mix....

Banning anything, will not stop the criminal....

The AR15 isn't the most deadly weapon though, it's one of the weakest. Shotguns kill more than rifles do, but that isn't where the focus is and that's partly why the entire discussion has is disingenuous.
The V. Tech shooter used handguns and the Newtown shooter had handguns, but even if all guns were confiscated you can always print guns in your house. Time is better spent focusing on the mentally ill or other at risk individuals.

You said that you would want the deadliest weapon possible. How about a nuclear armament? I'm extending YOUR logic.

The point is there is no question that we limit the right to bear arms. The question is where is that line drawn and which side of it will the AR 15 end up on .

Actually I said I want the most deadly weapon I can get in my hand.

Again, can we get back to having a rational conversation about personal and home defense and leave all that nuclear/howitzer ignorance aside?
