Actually, you don't want liberty and freedoms. What you want is chaos, as in Somalia, or Yemen, where there is almost NO government, but ample guns and ammo.

You don't want regulations, laws, government (except to carry out punishments, war, and capital punishment).

I think you might find your true paradise is a country such as Somalia. You'd have a permanent smile on your face there. (Of course you might have it several feet under the ground, where it'd be very still and quiet, but hey, can't have it all)!!

THE ONLY COMPREHENSIVE GUN CONTROL SOLUTION IS A 2 STATE SOLUTION. ONE WITH-OUT GUNS LIKE ILLINOIS,NEW YORK CALIFORNIA AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CURRENT STATES THAT UPHOLD THE 2ND AMENDMENT CAN FORMER THEIR OWN UNION!
Oh, but many are for "choice" as long as that choice is not to protect yourself or your family.

Some of you so funny it is ridiculous.

Your answer is ALWAYS, pass more laws.

You probably Could do as you suggest but, YOU WOULD BE BREAKING LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.

You can do it because DC has no acess controls like checkpoints on the approaches to the Potomac River bridges at the Metro stations, or at the Beltway enterance and exit ramps where thorough searches can be done like it was in cold war Berlin in Germany. To adequately control guns in Washington DC we would need to recreate the Berlin Wall which the DDR and USSR built around West Berlin!

To control guns we might even need an Iron Curtin at state borders like the Warsaw pact built from the Baltic Shore to Trieste on the Adriatic.

When are you clowns in Virginia going to have your next mass school shooting at a place Tech or UVA? They make really great television and help fill up the hours on cable news and talk radio!

You have left out one thing, these paradises on Earth are also places you can run around and say its all God's will. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, All Praise be Upon HIM.

What? So forcing a criminal to lie on a background check is bad? That's an impetiment to committing a criminal act in and of itself. No law stops ALL crime. I guess forcing sex offenders to register is bad??

How do national rape laws prevent all rapes? They don't!! But you do all you can to prevent the crimes. You gun nuts and your absolutist attitude is just silly..Show me ONE law that prevents ALL crime. ONE.
You're the one pushing for more useless legislation. You prove to us that it could actually be effective in reducing crime and we'll go from there. So far the anti-gun crowd's legislative history is one of miserable failure. The 1994 AWB didn't do anything, and the Gun Free Zone law has resulted in nearly double the amount of school shootings since it was enacted. Chicago, with some of the most stringent gun control laws, has a firearms homicide rate that makes most people who don't live there want to stay away. Washington, D.C., also the home of some extremely strict gun control laws, is nearly as bad. California has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S., but their homicide rate is the same as the national average.

So, exactly how does gun control stop crime, especially when that gun control is targeted at a specific set of firearms that is used in a miniscule amount of firearms crime in the first place?

Ironic to see someone that hates America and all that it stands for is telling someone else to move to another country.
