What, exactly, did he say that was so incorrect or horrifying?

He's right. Jefferson, Franklin, etc had massive doubts about the Constitution and fully believed that a government should continually change with the needs of a nation. Interestingly, Louis Seidman sides with you Old Army Soldier, on gun control but you chose to ignore that.

I wonder how hardcore many of you want to be about running the country exactly how the Constitution laid it out to be. There are quite a few things in that document that would make most of us protest the government - beginning with the fact that we were never meant to vote directly for our President or Senators.

Sorry about the double 'Citizen' in the title. It wouldn't let me edit it out by the time I caught it.

Number one, he is a US Citizen. Secondly, if he were NOT, at the time the Constitution was written those who met age and residency requirements but were foreign born were still eligible to assume the presidency.

Again, I ask, how closely do you and others really want to follow the Constitution as it was written? Especially considering under what circumstances the Constitution was written and why it was written that way.

In today's times, he has to be a U.S. natural born Citizen, not a born U.S. Citizen to be president. You can't have both. That has been in effect since the Article 2 Section 1 grandfather clause ended.

Funny. I don't see those exact words 'Jimmy Two Times' in the title. Must be a delusion of yours. Anyway the mods have been notified to correct it.

He is a natural born citizen which makes him a US Citizen. I see you've chosen to ignore the implications of following the Constitution as written in 1787. Those of you who love to cite the Bill of Rights and say THIS IS WHAT OUR FOREFATHERS WANTED so conveniently ignore the parts of the document that you don't like.
