It would be difficult to imagine anyone more vulgar than Sarah Palin - Ann Coulter, Michele Bachmann perhaps - maybe that’s why she is so popular. Such persons are only important for the attention we give them.
Sarah Palin is a shallow and superficial person, and her character a flimsy façade; she is all pro forma and no substance. She is appealing to people that are so simple as to be impressed by nothing more than appearances. (Indeed, the former beauty pageant contestant has come a long way on that small capital.) She single-handedly lost the election for John McCain. The Republicans would have done better to find a person of substantial character, intellect and ability. A hokey "hockey mom" is not such a person.

If she is shallow then how did she debate 2 governors (one a incumbent and the other a former) on issues such as fiscal reforms, oil and gas, seafood and timber industry, budgets, etc, and become Alaska Governor? Also it was not her that lost the election for McCain. His poll numbers went up and they took the lead over Obama after she was chosen. It was only after McCain suddenly decided to suspend his campaign (which Palin protested) and go to Washington to deal with the bailout shocking republicans and the electorate. Obama took the advantage and labeled McCain a insider and that right there doomed McCain. Palin feverishly said it was a mistake to do that and she was right. Wendell..............admit you just despise smart women.
I hate to break it to this forum of political lunatics but the only people that have paid attention to Palin since 2008 has been the LWNJ's and the RWNJ's....the fringe.
The rest of us moved on long ago while you just bicker back and forth about her.

Not sure when your memory lapses started but McCain was trailing badly in the polls to Obama and selected Palin as a "hail mary". While a poor choice, she did not lose the election for McCain single handedly.
Also, please note the irony that in 2008 you chose a raw, inexperienced IL Senator over a vastly more prepared and accomplished Hillary Clinton because.....he was more charismatic. That's hillarious irony....let it sink in.

It's honestly embarrassing that someone like her could attract some much media attention in this country.
