Screw that. Romney supported this very same type of program in Mass. Just because he says things in a campaign that may counter what he earlier did, we know politicians lie and what he actually did.
Romney was not a valid option.
Romney is yesterday's news. I'd be more worried about 2014 and 2016 if I was a dem up for election or re-election. Even the unions are getting pissed off about this law. A little something for everyone in that monstrosity.

I disagree. Compared to what we have now.......we'll call it a "glitch"......I see Romney (or anyone) as infinitely better than the idiot currently brainwashing the masses (ie. you)with his failed signature achievement. In fact, I think it's hilarious that you find this condition to be acceptable....so much so that you actually VOTED for it.
She and you join in on the effort for universal single payer coverage, just a thought.
I think sovereign default will happen before universal single payer ever does.
Just rename medicaid and put us all on it. Then tax the rich to pay for it.

I did NOT vote for Obama. I'm thinking you have missed the rest of my arguments here.
I was just about to post this as a new thread until I saw this one.
Question:
Since "affordability" applies only to individual policies under Obamacare, some people will be able to buy an individual policy but not a family policy.
If a married couple fits this profile and files a joint tax return, do they meet the individual mandate requirement?
e.g. one spouse works, has individual policy, spouse and kids are uninsured because family policy is unaffordable. Is this effectively a marriage penalty which promotes family split (if divorced, parent and kids get affordable insurance or Medicaid)?
The term "individual policy" means it's not part of a group policy....it doesn't mean one person is on the policy. An individual policy can a single person, a couple or a family on it. Individual policies will increase more than any other once the ACA is in full effect (because it can no longer be underwritten...any one and everyone must be automatically appproved).
