Or do you think responses like "*******s are idiots" and "they hate everyone" qualify as intelligent responses that consider and respect other opinions? Your post is so full of irony, it's giving me a headache!
There's no irony at all in what I said. It made no reference to conservatives one way or the other. Your implication of hypocrisy in my post is simply presumption on your part. My post did not say that conservatives aren't also guilty of the same things. That simply wasn't the question I was answering. The question was specifically about the actions of liberals, and that's what I responded with:

Q: What color is the sky?
A: Blue
Q: Are you saying the ocean isn't blue?
A: No, I'm just saying the sky is blue. The question wasn't about the ocean.

I wasn't just referring to conservatives, I was mostly referring to YOU... you are full of irony, and (apparently) guilty of immature knee-jerk reactions.

You are a funny one giz..... especially your usual childlike selective outrage.....where is your above post at all of the mocking, redneck, white trash, trailer park, kkk, Nazi, unintelligent, teabagger comments from your own ilk

Didn't think so, unless you feel the same way about those insults from your side, then you are a hypocrite

Tea party is as fiscally conservative as a gold digger. They want to reduce government but don't want anyone to touch the military, social security, or Medicare.

OK, time to back up your claims with actual proof.

I'm not sure I would identify myself as a TEA party anything, but overall, the idea of reducing government excess and waste sounds like a winner to me. But IMHO, nothing you listed is a sacred cow. Social safety nets should be set up to be a last resort, not a planned path. And I'm sure we could find savings in the military that wouldn't put us at any more risk.

A person's profession, in this case, computer science, has nothing to do with their political beliefs.

The "small minds" comment, was directed as those liberals who look at everything thru a politically partisan lens. So anything a Republican or conservative says is shouted down and ridiculed, without first analyzing what is said, in a rational and intellectual manner.

These people are small minded, have no room for any thoughts of their own, so whatever their masters say, they echo. Democrats in Washington say attack Bush as irresponsible and unpatriotic for $4 trillion in new debt, and they attack. So when the Tea party calls for responsible spending in Washington.... their masters say attack the Tea party, and don't be critical of Obama's $6 trillion in debt. So they attack the Tea party and ignore Obama's debt and his wasteful spending.

It's the federal government, there is always tens of billions in wasteful spending each year. Even slowing the rate of the automatic baseline budget increases, would save us a few hundred billion, even if we only did it just one year.

People are giddy that the deficit this year might only be $900 billion, I remember politicians in both parties being upset over $300 billion. All I can say to people, is if $900 billion deficit no longer bothers you, you've been brain washed.

I do feel the same way about those, which is why you'll never see me use slanderous terms like that - can you find any examples where I have? If not, spare us the faux amusement. They aren't my "ilk," either, since I don't necessarily identify with either side (at least not the extremists). I am mostly liberal in my beliefs, but have said time & time again that I think our two-party partisan politics are in dire need of an overhaul.

You're a funny one too! Independent? LOL.

But it was implied that liberals have "small minds," and it obviously takes a well-developed mind to conceive/create something like a computer.

It happens from both sides... so hardly a "liberal quality," although I'm sure you see it that way. We all have a different perspective on things, I guess.

But if you don't believe me, just look at the hateful responses against "libs" or "*******s" on here. Do you not think those are immature, and looking at things through partisan lenses? I didn't even say anything against the TEA Party, and was called stupid by another poster (those posts were deleted). They just ASSumed I was a liberal, ASSumed I hated the TEA Party, and called me names without even asking my actual beliefs. How is that not what you're describing above? Use your objective mind, and try reading carefully through this thread again.
