basically this admin and the eco freaks want to kill fossil fuel use...instead we'll all have wind mills...
so there have been no new refineries in 30 years, but you blame Obama ?

Keystone was blocked by the State of Nebraska, not Obama and It isnt even American oil or gas, its Canadian.

There is no moratorium on off shore drilling, there is a moratorium on Deep water drilling, there is a huge difference to the tune of 3,400 platforms. only 79 are part of the moratorium

Please tell us about the specific regulations you hate so much ?

Attacking fracking ? all you need to do to attack fracking is watch the Youtube videos of what it does to near by towns.

There have been no new oil refineries built in the U.S. since the 70's albeit some have greater capasity. Why would an Exxon - Mobil, the most profitable corporation in the world, make an enormous financial investment and hire a bajillion people to increase supply and low the price at the pump?

Publicly traded companies are not charities. They are governed to provide a return on investment to their shareholders. As it relates to oil companies, it's all about the stock price, not the price at the pump.

All the other things you wrote are inconsequential. The U.S. is producing more oil than ever before. Oil supply has nothing to do with domestic prices of gasoline.

We are already above the 5-yr range of petroleum stocks.
This is flat out wrong, US domestic oil production peaked in 1970/71.

There have been claims of $10 gas by nuts every month for the last 40 years. It has yet to happen.
It pretty much is the only thing he does. His threads are so outlandish and prolific ~ I've decided he's secretly an Obama supporter here to rally the troops.

Thank you Comrade Triple X!

As far as "pumping trillions", the bailouts are over. The only money the Fed is injecting into the money supply is by buying back securities. In the long term this saves taxpayers money by decreasing the amount spent on interest. If what you said where true, we would see inflation across the board. Total inflation for 2012 was 1.7%, and the forecast is less than 2% for the next few years:

Inflation adjusted Gasoline Price Chart
I can remember paying 40-50 cents a gallon (and less, actually).

But minimum wage was $1.35 an hour.

I can remember when it was inching up towards $1.00 a gallon and how horrified we all were.

For example, look how long it takes to build a highway project?

Instead of blaming Obama for everything, how about we as a country sit down and talk about how to wean ourselves of oil more quickly, so we won't be impacted by world market prices. I know conservatives will hate to hear this, because it is very European and gasp "soocccialliism ohhhh" but making proper long term investments in public transportation where they make sense. Europe has high taxes on gas prices, but a lot of Europeans aren't as impacted by it because they have effective mass transit as an option. Also giving tax incentives to companies or individuals for telecommuting when possible would also help with the oil demand. Not to mention also cut down on pollution, traffic congestion, and all the cost associated with that. I think and all of the above approach is best instead of finger pointing and blaming Obama for all of societies problems.
AS Obama blames Bush for everything , how about Obama and congress sit down and talk about oil prices...and fix the problem
