Obama wants us to have to pay European prices which today is $10 a gallon.. we are headed there slowly just as he said he would slowly raise the cost of energy and slowly .. just to desensitize us to the higher costs.. slowly over time we will be paying higher and higher energy costs, and because of that we will have to pay higher food costs as the shipping of the food will be much more expensive. Diesel fuel used to be cheaper than gas , but now it is higher piriced at the pump. So when you wonder why your food bill is up, energy costs to ship the food are up so thank Obama for the higher food bill.

If there were shortages anywhere our supplies would not be increasing. 8% higher than last year. There are tankers just sitting full of oil with no demand for it.

To go along with my earlier argument that if the government wasn't plowing so much money into the system the prices would be down, just the same, if only end users were doing the bidding, prices would be way down.

Let me ask you this, what increase in gas prices over the last two weeks is because of tax increases.....
Truckers have to pay twice.. They pay taxes at the pump and also are charged road tax for driving on the roads.

Mine too... food, fuel and services will all be hit.. Wait till Obamacare kicks in high gear in 2014 and the companies pass the extra cost to the consumer... it is happening now. Thank Obama for what is and what will be in the near future. Americans will have to foot the bill as extra cost to a company will make the product or service more expensive.

If O isnt responsible for the rising costs then he surely isnt responsible or due credit for them dropping.

It's the same price we paid in 1981, adjusted for inflation.
It's the same price we paid in 1918, adjusted for inflation.

What does any president have to do with the price we pay at the pump?

Please articulate.

What make you think the big oil companies want new refineries?
What's in it for them to spend $bajillions to increase supply and reduce the price at the pump?

Or, are you talking about nationalizing oil production?
