The Asian chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Michigan requires students in leadership positions to sign a statement of faith. Members of the group says school officials banned the group until it amends its constitution to conform to the prestigious school’s non-discrimination policy,...“For us, there’s no other option than to hold to the tenets of our faith,” Chang said. “We want to model a lifestyle of integrity. Holding the Bible as the inspired, divine word of God and seeing the commands for us to choose leaders who have a vibrant faith in Jesus is obviously something very important that we want to continue to uphold.”...“I can’t imagine the Muslim Student Association saying you don’t have to be a Muslim to help lead our group,” he added. “I think the university’s decision will impact any religious group that’s being honest about their leadership criteria.”
Why should this group change their policy to be less of what they are?

They shouldn't.

But they're going to have to be everything they are somewhere else.

This opinion piece accurately describes the situation and offers a rational assessment.

Did I see anything there about any Muslim group at the college? Nope. I did see something that I don't really like though, in that the University is forcing groups to be what seems diverse enough.

Wasn't that the university that got into all kinds of difficulty for pushing to allow all blacks enroll and held some others, I suppose mostly whites, from doing it? What was that called?

I bet that they are being discriminated because they are all Asian Christians. Up there in Michigan I wonder about the all Muslim group and their amount of diversification.
