A good chunk of that is the higher min insurance Obamacare mandates.
Walmart dropped their lowest plans because they didn't meet Obamacare mandates.
Those on the lowest plans either have to pay more or drop their insurance.

There's been articles on this and threads so I'm assuming folks know about Walmart's plans.

Well, all I can tell you is that my husband and I just got a notice from our insurance company that our rates are going up by about $70 a month. Oh, and we already have a $5000 deductible.

Good times, good times.

Who did you vote for?

Obama voters get what they deserve.

Personally, I also blame apathetic Republicans for relatively low turnout in November. I hope they too get what they deserve for sitting the election out. The full weight of Obamacare rests on these two constiutencies' shoulders.

I didn't vote for Obama, though I did vote. I always vote.

I vote. I work. I DON'T get a tax refund - in fact I send in thousands of dollars every April 15. I pay my bills - and the bills of others. I take care of my health. I invest time and energy into the lives of my elderly parents, in laws, grown kids, and grandkids. I give generously to charities.

In other words, I'm a responsible, productive adult. And still - the noose tightens.

Obamacare is nothing but a bailout for the insurance companies and more corporate welfare. But, you can't blame Obama on this one, Newt Gingrich and gang wanted the same exact law passed when the GOP landslide happened in the 1990s but dropped support for it once Hillary Clinton endorsed it

I haven't blamed anyone. I'm just reporting from the home front.

well you pay for more coverage as mandate that is unless your onew who gets it free under the plan or highly subsidise, I really think CBO predictio of debt risng startig in 2015 when most of healthcaregetsgoing even with sequestrtion figure ii nis more alarming.Still they predict that 15 millio will not have coverage by 2020 even with the huge debt increase.

If Obamacare doesn't "work out", we'll all happily return to the status quo ante, because that was working really well for us.
