I suspect that the young lady wasn't sufficiently in control of herself for us to draw any general conclusions about the state of society. Drug addicts who show up for first appearance aren't exactly the most sober individuals.

well, the judge did ask her if she was on drugs on her court date, and she did reply no.

Good. This needs to happen more often. Quit being soft on these dirtbags. Far too many people act this way today. They need to learn to have some respect and take some things seriously.
