In fact, its been disproven, multiple times now.
Actually wrong - recently there was a boy who shot and killed his mother and sister because a Rob Zombie movie gave him the idea to do it.

Jake Evans' Confession: Killing Mom, Sister Inspired By Rob Zombie Film (READ FULL CONFESSION)

"While watching it I was amazed at how at ease the boy was during the murders and how little remorse he had afterword [sic]. I was thinking to myself it would be the same for me when I kill someone," 17-year-old Jake Evans wrote in his confession, according to a copy released on Thursday by Parker County Judge Graham Quisenberry.

The same movies and video games are distributed worldwide. There might be another reason why we`re among the world`s leaders in death by firearms.Let`s put on our thinking caps and try to figure this out.

That's not scientific study you're believing the words of an insane individual. Read the study linked in the news article I posted. Lots of other scientific studies, in fact all of them, show no link in violent games and movies, to real life violence.

Yet you believe those scientific studies that claim that all gun owners are going to be inspired by their gun to kill someone?

There is most definitely a link between violence in media and the mentally ill becoming violent. The Aurora shooter fantasized of himself as the Joker.

One thing a psychiatrist dealing with a paranoid schizophrenic is to tell them not to watch violent television shows or play violent video games -- it does affect them.
