But I digress.....charity is charity....% is %....the obamas are low life's at heart.
If you count his nobel piece prize as part of the percentage then Obama wins by a mile.

and i wish i got every cent back, not really sure why that matters though, again, you cant debate without trying to degrade other people.

Why not? Is there an approved charity list it doesn't appear on or what?

I go out to lunch and find this this thread still is being argued, even after I discredited it in post 8:

According to the Washington Post Fact Checker,

In 2010, Mr. Obama gave more than 14 percent to charity.

"In 2009, the president’s taxable income was about $5.5 million; he listed $329,100 in charitable contributions on his tax return and also directed the Nobel Prize Committee to give his $1.4 million prize directly to 10 charities (which meant he could not take a tax deduction for donating the prize)."

This adds up to a rate of 31.4 percent of taxable income... which beats Romney's 15%.

The LDS coffers, BYU, exclusive private schools are not "charities".
Neither are places like the Federalist Society, the Hoover Institution, the Heritage Foundation, and the Massachusetts Family Institute are not charities. They are political organizations.

Romney is expected to give 10% to his church (to be a Mormon of good standing) anyway isn't he?

Church's should be taxed like any other business, since that is what they are.

As far as Romney.....
2010:

LDS Church: $145,000 (not charity)
Belmont Hill School: $5,000 (not charity - prestigious private school)
Best Friends Foundation: $15,000 (charity)
Boys and Girls Club of Boston: $10,000 (charity)
Brigham Young University: $25,000 (not charity - LDS University
Center for Treatment of Pediatric MS: $75,000 (charity)

2009:

LDS Church: $600,000 (not charity)
The Becket Fund: $25,000 (tax-exempt organization , not a charity)
My Sister's Keeper: $5,000 (charity)
Mass General Hospital Cancer Center $1,000 (charity)

2008:

LDS Church: $1,800,000 (not charity)
SafetyNet: $10,000 (charity)
Boston Ten Point Coalition: $15,000 (charity)
Boys & Girls Harbor: $20,000 (charity)
Operation Kids: $10,000 (charity)
Epilepsy Foundation: $1,000 (charity)
Pioneer Institute: $10,000 (not charity - tax exempt think tank)
Belmont Hill School: $5,000 (not charity - prestigious private school)
Cranbrook Education Community: $5,000 (not charity - prestigious private school)
Boys & Girls Club: $10,000 (charity)
Pan Mass Challenge: $10,000 (charity)
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Breath of Life Gala: $10,000 (charity)
Deseret International Foundation: $25,000 (not charity - LDS Media org)

In other words, one received greater tax avoidance (breaks) then the other.
He gave to others did your savior do that? You people have an excuse for everything.

Besides, Obama gives far more than 1% to charity. The OP's premise is a falsehood right from the beginning. Conservatives are not more generous, nor have they ever been.

Moreover, when did you wing nuts start counting other people's money? I thought the phrase "it's THEIR money and they can do whatever they want with it" was the wing nut motto?
Why doesn't it count? Because you don't like the Mormon Church? Well, I hate the HSUS with every ounce of my being, but I still consider it a charitable donation when someone gives to them. It's not up to me to decide that. It's the law.

And please, prove that conservatives are not more generous. Because everything I've seen says that they ARE. And I'm talking about the tax law here, not "well, I don't think it should be counted" type of tax law.

Ehhh...the man is the president. They're usually a little too busy to donate time to charity, although he does spend quite a bit of time dealing with pathetic "charity cases"....a.k.a., members of the Republican Party for example.
I'm not talking about donating his time now. But I can guarantee the man has NEVER done anything that hasn't either put money or votes into his pocket.

No they're not.
