The proposed regulations only deal with new purchases.
Um... WRONG.
Feinstein wants to force you (well, not you, because I'm sure you would never own an Evil Black Rifle) to register your EXISTING sporting rifles, and she would have them treated the same as we treat machine guns, which they are not.
How is the 51st law going to stop me from killing you?
It's so hard to remove a serial number Not that a criminal would even sweat that but people have been removing numbers and chucking them off bridges for about 70 years now.
I am sure you can and you should have to pass a background check on each one and explain why you need to buy 10 guns at one time because there is a good chance you plan to sell them illegally if you are going to buy that many at one time.
Besides a FFL, show me where anyone buys 10 guns at a time?
Your limited knowledge or listening to the MSM is failing you....
Where exactly do you think these gangs get their guns from, legal law abiding gunowners. This will never be a perfect system anymore than the elimination of drink driving, but it will have an impact.
False.
In actuality, most (roughly 60%) of the firearms used in the commission of crimes are traceable to federally licensed sellers who disregard federal law in their transactions.
So then what? Should we ban unregulated private sales and federally licensed sellers just to be safe, even if only 1.2% of such sellers actually engage in such corrupt practice?
Accounting for the remaining portion are straw purchasers and, to a much lesser extent, gun shows (yet WE MUST CLOSE THE LOOPHOLE [ban private sales] NOW!!!).
Thus, it's actually quite cretinous that you would blame the average, law-abiding gun owner for gun crime at-large, but this is likely because you fail to realize that being a law-abiding gun owner would entail not
purchasing guns for people legally prohibited from owning them.
Why do you support making it easier for criminals to get guns? You are always a law abiding citizen until you commit a crime and the person who legally buys a gun and then illegally sell guns to criminals is a criminal himself.
This "guilty until proven innocent" approach you take toward law abiding citizens that simply want to buy a gun is quite disturbing.
Besides a FFL, show me where anyone buys 10 guns at a time?
