Threads like these really show the cultural breakdown and moral decay our country is going through. The younger generation and many grumpy elders have no respect for authority anymore. This judge was right on the money. Anyone here who thinks it's ok to talk to a judge like that, I recommend you try it the next time you are in front of one of them.

Gee, imagine that. A judge who is no-nonsense enough to give people jail time for flipping him off isn't popular with lawyers. I'm sure school lunch ladies who don't give the kids an extra cookie aren't as popular with students either.

Also, it's funny how Penelope Soto, who is 18, suddenly becomes a "small girl" when you want to portray the judge as a bully. She's a legal adult.

Pretty sure the little twit was unaware of the Judge's approval rating.
If swearing at the Judge and flipping him the bird isn't contempt, what is?
Mebbie the guy in the robe isn't worthy of respect, but his position is.
Don't believe it? Cus out the Judge next time yer in court. See what happens.
(Bring yer toothbrush.)

You are required to show some respect for the robe - if not the man. Apparently, this overconfident teenager wasn't aware that it is unwise to flip off a judge while being sentenced.
