So those Americans whose employers don't offer health insurance and there are millions of them. Those millions of working Americans are subsidizing everyone else getting employer provided healthcare.

Also the premiums employees pay for employer provided health insurance are further subsidized by the government whacking off that amount from your income which lowers you adjusted gross income which lowers your individual income taxes owed.

Here is the amazing part, the millions of Americans who don't get that government subsidy/spending, they aren't yelling for that benefit to be taken away from Americans getting it, even though, they don't.

Instead you have the many of the same Americans whose employer provided healthcare is heavily subsidized/paid for by the government very upset that those Americans who don't have health insurance will get subsidies to buy health insurance running around yelling how they'll have to pay for those people to get health insurance.

The whining of those ignorant, greedy Americans is a disgrace.

It is all about race. Dr. Carson is a black man whom they believe is criticizing President Obama and putting him in his place.

It is sick. And again, I will point out again his idea of health savings accounts in which the government from the time of a poor person's birth puts money into that individual poor person's account is extremely big government. I don't care how anyone tries to pretend, that is huge government beyond anything so called Obamacare is proposing.

conservatives don't care about policy, so they'll focus on the words health savings accounts which they supposedly support, but ignore the clearly stated idea of the government putting money in those accounts for poor people from birth which is a huge expansion of government.
That sounds like Medicare for all, which is much better than Obamacare

So... an education and brilliance in occupation, isn't necessarily a sign of common sense?

Or does this only apply to the brilliant people who oppose the dear leader?

The government shouldn't be involved in healthcare at all. Every time they get involved the opposite of the expected reaction is realized. Prices go up.

Tort reform and portable HCPs would FIX the healthcare industry quickly and effectively.

A health savings account has nothing to do with the government. An HSA allows you to purchase a high deductable HCP and use the HSA as a savings account to fund the deductable. You can even withdraw your savings as you would from a 401k or IRA. The government doesn't put money in those accounts, they are only tax deferred.

Rendering the rest of your rant, obsolete.
LOL in that speech, Dr. Carson said that these health saving accounts would be government. He said when any child is born they'd get a health saving account and a social security number. He clearly sees those HSA's as being administered by the government.

He made that very clear. In fact in another speech of Dr. Carson's that I listened to he compared the HSA's to food stamps.

He clearly said that upon birth for those poor Americans, the government would start putting money in their individual HSA.

This is a huge expansion of government.

Your complete lack of paying attention to what Dr. Carson actually said bolsters my contention that conservatives don't care about policy, and they don't even care about the ideas of Dr. Carson.

This a cynical move by conservatives to verbally support a black man who they think put President Obama in his place.

I have to agree. Trash talk about liberal plantations and (in another thread) about somebody African Americans can be proud of, are cringe-inducing statements.

Carson is an accomplished man. An intelligent, well spoken, thoughtful man who presented his ideas at the prayer breakfast with dignity, humor and elloquence - all attributes that are seriously in short supply in most national conversations these days.

He is a medical man and (as far as I know) does not have any interest in political office. Neither (as far as I know) has either political party invited or encouraged him to run for office. If he does run we can all take a closer look at him and his ideas.

Until that point, it was just really good to hear somebody speak with conviction and common sense the other day. For a change.

Well that argument already lost. Tell the military they shouldn't get government healthcare. Tell any American over 65, they shouldn't get government healthcare. Tell those elderly whose nursing home expenses are paid for by medicaid that they shouldn't get that government healthcare.

So good luck with that.

Also, you might want to tell Dr. Carson, that the government shouldn't be involved in healthcare at all, because when he said in his speech that every child born should get a social security number and a government HSA, I don't think he agrees that the government shouldn't be involved. LOL.

Why would a wealthy person be an Uncle Tom for the liberals?

Dr. Carson is a conservative? conservatives are attempting to claim a man who hasn't to my knowledge said any such thing.
