You're totally missing the point. I hope it's intentional, because otherwise, it's just sad.
Actually my point is you should take some personal responsibility if you're worried about being photographed from a drone. Or a nut-job neighbor. I thought conservatives liked personal responsibility.
We have solar screens. You can see out just fine and we do not "cower" in our home. However, for much less than it cost you to build your wall, we do have the peace of mind that people can't photograph the inside of our home from outside. We've checked, BTW. Curiosity, not paranoia. They give us an enormous amount of privacy. Mercy. The hippie liberals are taking personal responsibility and the conservatives are whining about Big Brother? Okey dokey then.

You call them ugly. I call them a visible example of taking personal responsibility for what happens in my life. And a HUGE reduction on our energy bill. Win. Win. (The money we save goes in the bank. Win. Win. Win.)
I take plenty of personal responsibility for my actions - and I'm an independent by the way, fiscally conservative and socially liberal for the most part.
But back to the personal responsibility - are you saying that if people don't want drones photographing them inside their homes, they need to buy some solar shades - otherwise it's free game for anyone who wants to use a drone to photograph people in the privacy of their homes? If they don't invest in solar shades to guard against this, this sort of surveillance of law abiding, private citizens in their homes is acceptable to you?
Wow.
I don't personally like solar shades anyway. I DO think they are extremely ugly. I have very high quality windows and a very well built house, so my utility bills are quite manageable - but thanks for the tip anyway. My savings plan is working great too, for that matter, so no worries there either.
Do people SERIOUSLY not grasp the privacy issues of this scenario?????
I have a very secure, tall privacy fence around my backyard. Consequently, we usually leave our back window blinds and curtains open to the nice view of our landscaped lawn and patio area.
Several nights a week, we strip down to our birthday suits and climb into the hot tub with some wine for a little "quality time" together.
I really don't think I should have to worry about my privacy in my own back yard. My fence cost me $6000 for starters! We bought this house BECAUSE of the private yard. I expect to be able to walk around in my skivvies, or in the buff for that matter, inside my own home, or on my own very secluded patio if I choose.
Of course I don't want to outlaw cameras, but let's please use some common sense. Law abiding citizens ought to be able to expect privacy inside their own home and behind their own secured fence.
If you're not doing anything wrong you've got nothing to worry about. Liberals told me that.
By the way, have that mole on your thigh looked at next time you're at the doctor.

Plus my house is beautiful
Hmmm.... apparently this has turned into a ******* contest on who has a nicer house and is smarter with their finances.
