No. Banning porn is nearly as dumb, and as wrong, as trying to ban semi-auto firearms.

Hardcore pornography is easily objectively identified, not much gray area there.

Any self professed "Pro America', "Republican" or most of all "conservative" person who defends, condones or excuses the filthy pornography industry in any way should have their head examined. The two are incompatible,Maybe just a "hobby" of yours?Or just your idea of the "pursuit of happiness"?

The use of porn is a symptom, not a cause tot he social ills.

You can not place merit to the Ted Bundy's of the world that blame porn for their short comings.

If you seek a ban on porn for its degrading of women then you certainly would have to do the same for magazines, TV and movies which are all equally guilty. Would we be better off without porn, tv, and movies... probably. but you can't force people to make better choices, they must see the value and do it for themselves.

I want my PTV...

I agree with Fred Willard...I want us to go back to the good ol days when you had to go to a seedy side of town, go into a dark and danky room with perverts all around playing "slap the monkey" on their ipads...sorry their "one-eyed puds".

How naive. Do you really think porn started with the Internet?

It will never happen. Once that Pandora's Box was opened, it will stay open. There's absolutely disgusting things on the internet, but it's too late to do anything about it. Now should parents monitor what their children see on the internet? Absolutely.

If you know anything about Iceland, you already know that people get it on there so often that there really is no need for porn.

Also, I would argue porn degrades men.

After all, they make only about 10 to 20 percent of what the ladies make.

We better do something about this!
