Is there such a thing as an unbiased source?

I think the proper thing would be to encourage your students to verify "facts' by using a minimum of two sources for each "fact". All media is biased.

No wonder these college kids can't find jobs when they cite O'Reilly as a source.

O'Reilly books are fairly well respected in certain fields.

The investigation found that Professor Sweet strongly encouraged or mandated that students from several classes sign a pledge card that stated "I pledge to vote for President Obama and Democrats up and down the ticket.""
And this so called "academic" is being paid? WTH?

Yes, she is in charge of her own fiefdom comprised of tuition paying students that need to satisfy her biases in return for a so-called fair, objective grade, but as far as preparing them for the "real world"?

Of what, academia?

LOL.

I was never allowed to cite a news story from a paper when I was in school unless it was a direct quote from an interview and established by such with the full transcripts, so I am confused how this is even an issue. Does the professor accept 3rd party reporting from other sources without proper originating citation?

Most sources are biased, but Fox is trashy entertainment. Might was well cite Lady Gaga
