True, but liberals will never allow children to see with their own eyes that what stands between them and psychos is a firearm in the hands of a responsible adult.

It just sends the wrong message to impressionable minds they are working hard to mold into the next generation of unquestioning sheep.

Liberals would rather allow children to be murdered than to have the effectiveness of their propaganda mills compromised by truth.

Is that what every other leftist anti gun person says? Because I made it up myself. I had no idea I had such a following.

Thanks for letting me know that.

No one has brainwashed me. I do think for myself. I am neither anti gun or pro gun, I am simply in favor of common sense being used to dictate who, and how, guns are sold to the general public.

Gun laws, be they background checks, a Federal database, or required proficiency training should be part and parcel of the privilege of owning a firearm.

Those are my thoughts and beliefs, not someone elses. And they are based on common sense, the number of gun fatalities in this country, and the easy access to firearms in America. I am not in favor of banning AR-15's or other semi automatic rifles, however, they should only be sold to people who have proven they are responsible and qualified enough to own them.

Again, simply common sense.

Then what does attempting to ban a thumb hole stock do?

What does banning all magazines that hold more than 7 rounds (in NY) and 10 in other states do?

What does banning a gun that has a "lug" to put a knife on the end of your rifle do?

What does a pistol grip have to do with the lethality of a gun?

What does the folding of a stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?

What does a telescoping stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?

What does a threaded barrel have to do with the lethality of a gun?

What does a detachable stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?

You say you are common sense and not pro/anti gun, this only leads me to believe that you know nothing about guns and have no desire to.

And why did you use the word "DICTATE" in your response?

Then you need to educate yourself on world history. Because then you would not be in favor of registration for gun owners or a federal database. Registration leads to confiscation. There is so much proof to back that up.

Read about what happened to the Armenians and other christian populations in turkey after they had gun registration in 1911.

And I can see you are just repeating what you hear as far as "the number of gun fatalities". Because they are not that high compared to many other ways of people dying.

And who is to decide if I am responsible enough to own an AR-15?

Read up on history, you will definitely change your way of thinking.

I know plenty about history, and not just 20th Century history, either.

We, as a nation, spend something like 8 times on defense what the rest of the world combined does. If you think your collection of AR-15's is going to protect you from the government, you are sorely mistaken. As well as being outgunned.

If, and when, the Federal govt. decides to come gunning for its own citizens, you can bet all the assault rifles in the world won't be any match for what the govt. has at its disposal.

The real way to protect your civil liberties and freedom from the Federal govt. is to reduce the size of its arsenal, and that means cutting defense spending. There is simply no need, no practical purpose, to keep a bloated defense budget taking yours and mine tax dollars, and the jobs it provides could be instead going towards something that benefits this country and this world, unlike a menacing military that invents reasons to invade and occupy other nations.

beats me

What does banning all magazines that hold more than 7 rounds (in NY) and 10 in other states do?
decreases capacity to kill large numbers of people in crowded places by making shooter reload

What does banning a gun that has a "lug" to put a knife on the end of your rifle do?
nothing

What does a pistol grip have to do with the lethality of a gun?
increases portability is my guess, as well as greater firing control

What does the folding of a stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?
increases ability to conceal

What does a telescoping stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?
see above

What does a threaded barrel have to do with the lethality of a gun?
attaching a flash suppressor?

What does a detachable stock have to do with the lethality of a gun?
increases ability to conceal

I know a little, but less than your average gun hugger.

And why did you use the word "DICTATE" in your response?
Would you rather I said "DETERMINE"?
These are some reasons, I suppose
