Nope.Don't believe in the DMV crap either. Cost me 105$ 2 days ago to just get a license in a new state! 30$ application fee is garbage...such a racket the state is.
Again, the republican party said that about identification. I think personal id cards isn't a bad idea, we need a national id, but police checking for any old reason is scary. They aren't checking you for owning the guns, just when you buy a new one.

You've got a serial number to give the police, right? Its already illegal to own a gun made after a certain year that doesn't show a serial number on it. And if its found, that's stolen property.

I'm saying parents whose kids nab their guns then kill a bunch of folks with them. A specific case.

There have been gun bans going on since what the 1930's has it stopped ANY generation from stealing guns? Or buying them off the street? What makes you think any new laws are going to work?

Why the "can`t do" attitude?

1. Gun Laws don't work. They banned alcohol remember how well that worked? Yeah it didn't. 2. I don't want the 2nd amendment assaulted which is what's happening. I don't even own a weapon yet but I am an ardent supporter of the 2nd amendment.

You're right, prohibition never has worked, for anything.

Regulation keeps things in check. Its why most rational folks 90% of Americans support an universal background check system, and a majority don't favor an assault weapons ban. I don't support an assault weapons ban, the idea is silly.

1. Gun laws work pretty well in most of the developed countries. 2. As long as you can buy and own a gun,the 2nd is intact.

Please explain the "background check" you have to go through in order to get a driver's license.

Are convicted criminals denied a license?

I am all for universal background checks for all gun transactions. And if your gun is stolen, I suggest alerting the police as soon as possible so you cant be held responsible for a crime it could be used for.

If your car is stolen you call the police to report it, the same rule should apply to guns.
