Here are just a few politically uncorrect rifles
The middle one is my daughters 223 semi auto with a wood stock.
The bottom is my Thompson M1925

I don't much care for the Mini 14 I sold my SS one a while back and built my 3rd AR. But I did feel something down my leg on that M1925 If I had that and a Fedora hat, well that would be cool beans. Is it a class 3? I shot one in Vegas. Very controllable.

Funny thing is and it shows how stupid the proposed law is....
These are both the same gun. My daughters gun, she has had since she was 6 years old and kept in her room, with a wood stock and my gun with the scary black stock.
They take the same mag.

I am attending a gun auction this week end and that mini 14 is at the top of my list along with a High point 995T 9mm. Choose them because of ammo concerns on the other rifles. If you/anybody were choosing which of the 2 would you pick?

I have been around guns my whole life. I have also been around Motorcycles, cars, and the building trades. All very dangerous. Life is dangerous. Yes we can take some precautions but the liberals would have us all living in rubber homes because its way too dangerous to live in solid walls. One may fall and bump his head.

My great grand father brought the trench broom back from WW-2. I hit the 5 when I meant to hit the 8.
It is a 1928A1

Although I like the Mini 14 for looks and how small it is. I sold mine because it was so in accurate. I talked to Ruger [which is a company I own stock in and have guns from and love] about it and was told that they had made many many guns with the same dies and were working on fixing the problem. I love the 223 for defense and for target practice and reload it. So I went with the modular design of the AR platform. I can change things on it and there is a never ending list of things to buy. You can also buy a lower receiver and then build your own from parts you can order sent to your door.
Right now I see Mini14s which is a design taken from the M14 or M1A1 going for 900 to 1800 which is way to high for a gun that is not even on the gun ban list that will not pass. Its worth about 600 tops. The Highpoint is one ugly gun IMO and I would not buy one. If I were going to buy a gun or two I would look for a lower receiver for an AR or a complet AR that is priced nor more than 11 to 1200 bucks. I would focus on getting some 30 rd mags and if I could afford it I would get a springfield M1A1 in 308. With those two you are very well armed. and in future you will not be able to give away the high point and the Mini 14 will not go up in value much. But a good AR and M1 will do nice. If not an M1 then a nice AK in 7.62x39 or if you want cheaper go with a nice SKS inexpensive relatively speaking and for 300 bucks you have a gun that can be drug behind a truck for ten miles and still work well.

She was popping doves out of the sky at 5 yo., with her Savage .410 pump, that I got from my gran dad when I was 5 yo.
