That is what the right ignores. HC has been an issue since at least the 90s. I do not expect anyone to address it. They are blinded by Obama hate.

But just think for one moment if single payer did go into effect and all those insurance companies went belly up how many people would be added to the unemployment rolls. So baby steps.
Most countries have single payer systems that work side by side with private insurers for things not covered by the system.

It's very similar to Medicare whereby seniors still find it necessary to maintain supplimental Medicare insurance from private insurers.

Well if you bothered to read about those early HMO's then you would have read all about how preventative care would lower costs over the long run.

Did that work ?

Deflection about Obamacare won't change what is going to happen.

People who were happy with what they had didn't get to keep it, did they ?
Yet another broken promise.

They will get their subsidized health insurance.

Obamacare was about getting insurance for those that could not afford it or get it.
Those that had it and were happy would be uneffected..remember ?

August 2009 at Townhalls all across America this is what Obama said:
"If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan."

One of the provisions of Obamacare was that there would be an independent and objective panel who would make comparitive-effectiveness recommendations. This seemed reasonable given so many Mds and hospitals consult for big pharm and equipment manufacturers and are paid royalites, stock options, consulting fees and so on.

If pill/procedure A and B are equally effective in treating the illness, there is no reason to prescribe the more costly product or procedure. Congress went nuts and called them "death panels" and that was the end of that. Far better to allow the Md to use his own judgment and favor the interests of his benefactors. What's the big deal? Insurers and government pay for it.

Default Why our Healthcare system will fail

And it's not Obamacare that will do it. It's our "for profit system.

14 million more on the medicaid rolls next year ... that is Obamacare. And guess who pays for it... not Obama.. the tax payer. YOu will have less money in your paycheck as you are taxed to cover it... the money has to come from the taxpayer and that is anyone who lives, buys , works or is a consumer.

That $21K bill for heartburn will still be $21K. Obamacare did nothing about costs.

Car insurance companies would be broke if poor people didn't have to sign up for coverage until after the crash and when they finally did the premiums were based on the value of their Huffy 10-speed as opposed to the Cadillac they just wrecked.

Since liberals are so edumacated you know this.
