Do these two people think we need to see their smiling faces on the TV in our living rooms every day?
You rather they be frowning? And btw, if you think they are in your face everyday then the best solution is to turn off your tv and go read a book or something.
Rationalize your error away in your own mind, if you wish. It reflects as poorly on your comments as your earlier excessive political bias reflected on your comments.
Let's see what your next evasion of responsibility for what you posted will be...
Do these two people think we need to see their smiling faces on the TV in our living rooms every day? They act as if they were pop stars, and think their fans can't see enough of them.
Don't politicians know that they are elected to act as public servants, and their families are not pop stars, and we work hard for the money that is used to fly them around the country. An entourage of fifty people prob follow the First Lady around, it's not free.
The Obama's seem be taking that old saying to heart, that politics is Hollywood show business for unattractive people. Jetting off to Hawaiian vacation in December, then off to Aspen and Palm City in February. I'm guessing these two are only just getting started. Over the next four years they will be having a blast, hobnobbing with pop stars and millionaire celebrities, and vacationing all over the world on our dime. All during what Obama calls "the worst economy since the Great Depression."
I'm trying to feel your pain. But then, not being a teenage girl, "pop star" or "rock star" is not the first thing that comes to my mind when I see President Barack Hussein Obama or First Lady Michelle Obama.
"The bill for his one month long vacation $ 600,298.00 which was a lot of money 25 years ago. ... The Reagan’s visited their ranch in the Santa Ynez Mountains of California three times a year costing taxpayers 8 million dollars per year."
Like i said, I don't expect ignorant sycophants to use common sense. If the Obamas do something it's ignored, not even given the time of day, if republicans do anything, it must be analyzed, itemized and vilified.
If any president was telling us we need to sacrifice, raised our taxes, slapped new fees on just about everything we purchased, and then went about living like a spoiled trust fund baby, I'd be in his face about it.
The Bush or Reagan ranches took very little security to keep the first Family safe. The location and property had already been screened, security details prearranged from previous visits, assets like phone lines, satellite links, cameras, sensors and contingency plans are reused. It's a case of 'been there, done that.'
As opposed to the Obama's, oft times going on multiple separate vacations. There preference for trips to new locations in exposed, public places is very costly and resource intensive. The advance security teams and dozens of security people, equipment, jet aircraft, helicopters and vehicles that are sent ahead of time, costing hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars, all by themselves.
Then there is the coordination between secret service and local law enforcement, the cost burden absorbed by the local community for additional security from local law enforcement, the areas with restricted access to the public, the road closings, detours and disruptions to businesses and employees, all cost hundreds of thousands to the local communities.
Sorry, but Reagan going to his ranch was many times cheaper.
So you'd like to think. Of course, being as politically biased against the President as you are, your dictating your opinion as if it is fact means very little.
