If you want one group to be legally married and other legally civil unions, that's not equality.
When those religious people get divorced, where do they go for dissolution of their contract?
The church (I think not), or the state.
Marriages are recorded in the public record, and that's not religious.

So their argument falls flat, each and every time.

Yes, because when people fight for the rights they're entitled to as free tax paying citizens, they should always be concerned with whether a bunch of ninnies will be "angry" that someone is going to be maaaaad!

Equality > Your feelings.

But guess what... with each passing year those that are prone to "be angry" are less and less and less.

At this point, more people are angry that people like you drive a WEDGE into society and work AGAINST marriage equality than people who are mad that there are people looking FOR marriage equality!

What business is it of yours who marries whom ? Such marriages do not affect you one bit (except to offend your moral universe, which, as noted, does not bind anyone else).
The country is bound by the constitution? I thought you were a liberal. What kind of self respecting liberal believes that?

The ones in the real world (as opposed to the ones in that conservatives=good/liberals=bad fantasy world you inhabit).

You don't own an English word. Get over it. Marriage has never been religious in this country.

A Lesbian could be artificially inseminated from the sperm of a Gay man. No sex or heterosexual involved.

Every time a civil unions bill has been introducted, it has been opposed.

Christians in Hawaii credited for gay civil unions defeat

Or, as this Republican calls civil unions, "stealth gay marriage":

Sorry, your bogus claim that if gays just accepted a status of separate but (allegedly) equal, then all would be fine is complete nonsense. But then you're a bigot, so I doubt you have any compunctions about lying, either.

I suppose if suddenly everyone in the world turned gay, they would make babies by in vitro fertilization. I mean the gay guys would give samples of sperm to lesbians with turkey basters ... well ... you know.

What would be the benefits homosexuals provide to society? ... Ummm ... let's see ... everyone would be dressed in stylish and attractive clothes, everyone would live in tastefully decorated homes, and a lot more funding who go to art museums, the symphonies, opera - but less to professional sports and NASCAR. That's my guess.

Well well well look what's happening in California!

Clint Eastwood to Supreme Court: Drop California's ban on same-sex marriage - U.S. News

"" Clint Eastwood has joined about 130 self-described moderate and conservativeRepublicans in signing a brief to the Supreme Court arguing against California’s Proposition 8, which bans marriage for same-sex couples. ""

With each passing day more and more Republicans are seeing the writing on the wall and are actually speaking their own opinions on same sex marriage.

You people who cling to the last threads of bigotry and exclusion are quickly being left to die while your party and your fellow constituents are doing the right thing and are joining the swelling masses that support same sex marriage.

Your choice is this; adapt or die.
