A Texas high school student has filed a federal lawsuit against her school and her teachers after she was punished for refusing to salute and recite the Mexican pledge of allegiance.
The Thomas More Law Center filed the suit on behalf of Brenda Brinsdon alleging the McAllen Independent School District violated the 15-year-old girl’s constitutional rights when she was forced to recite the Mexican pledge and sing the Mexican national anthem.
There's a Mexican pledge of allegiance? The Mexican national anthem? Last time I looked Texas was part of the United States, well sorta. But still, that's crazy.
Wait, she is proud of her Mexican heritage, her father is an Immigrant and shhe was in Spanish class and was given an assignment that she refused to do and people feel she has the right to sue? No wonder this country is going to hell in a
hand basket. Everyone is so sue happy.
Ironically, the school district has a policy that prohibits a school from compelling students to recite the American Pledge of Allegiance.
What further proof of the ongoing liberal destruction of America does one need, when a student cannot be compelled to recite our own pledge, but can be compelled to recite the pledge to a foriegn nation?
Ridiculous no matter what class it is in. This is the USA not Mexico. I expect to hear more stories like this in later years to come.
