Well, they're American, they don't have to worry about the planet they live on.
They're no. 1, hey, they're no. 1.

So desperate to get affirmation for the anti-reality RWNJ agenda.

But then, RWNJs flunked HS science and wouldn't know a valid article if it was pasted to their foreheads.

CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere
Humans add billions of tons of CO2 to the atmosphere every year
The atmosphere is getting warmer.
Human activity is adding to atmospheric temperature.

I am not about to trust, let along believe, anyone that benefits from Business as Usual.

Oh my!

1. CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere. True. However, the NUMBER ONE "green house gas" is water vapor. Far more (by a several fold ratio) of CO2 is created by volcanic activity and changes in ocean currents than by man.

2. Humans do add CO2 to the atmosphere. Most of that CO2, however, does not remain in the atmosphere. The liberal notion that CO2 remains in the atmosphere, like a shaken fresca, is funny as hell. I can just see those liberal cogs turning in those 1980s era processors!

3. The atmosphere is getting warmer. This is "hotly contested" as there is just as much evidence to the contrary. Even if the temps were rising, there is no evidence to suggest that human activity has anything to do with it, compared to the "wobble" of the earth's orbit around the sun, solar activity, and volcanic activity on earth.

4. Human acitivy is adding to temperature. Again, there is no evidence of this. In fact, the fossil evidence suggests it is the wobble of the earths orbit, solar acitivity, and volcanic activity that causes temperature changes.

Further, CO2 levels rise AFTER temperature increases, due to liberation of CO2 from ocean depths. The contention that CO2 causes global warming is like saying lung cancer causes cigarette smoking.

So what?

We ddidn't get any snow in Ohio last year.

Got the normal amount this year.

Right now humans release 30,000,000,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year. And that amount is only increasing. A tonne = 1,000 kilograms.

CO2 hangs around for 100 years. Volcanic activity does not produce nearly the amount of CO2 that man-made activity does.

"A 2012 study by Shakun et al. looked at temperature changes 20,000 years ago (the last glacial-interglacial transition) from around the world and added more detail to our understanding of the CO2-temperature change relationship. They found that:

The Earth's orbital cycles trigger the initial warming (starting approximately 19,000 years ago), which is first reflected in the the Arctic.
This Arctic warming caused large amounts of ice to melt, causing large amounts of fresh water to flood into the oceans.
This influx of fresh water then disrupted the Atlantic Ocean circulation, in turn causing a seesawing of heat between the hemispheres. The Southern Hemisphere and its oceans warmed first, starting about 18,000 years ago.
The warming Southern Ocean then released CO2 into the atmosphere starting around 17,500 years ago, which in turn caused the entire planet to warm via the increased greenhouse effect.

Overall, about 90% of the global warming occurred after the CO2 increase."

CO2 lags temperature - what does it mean?

The claim there was a consensus was manipulated in the first place. As for this one, I am unsure of its methodology so I won't comment on its validity. I will say that regardless if this is true or not, it means absolutely nothing as it concerns science.

I guess the only thing this is good for is combating the claims of consensus to CAGW.

Internet headlines from last week-----Global warming results in more blizzards ,but less actual snowfall

Internet headlines a day later.......Here are the places that got 2x and 3x their normal snowfall

Neither.

There is an old NASA saying "In God we trust, all others bring data".

Point is, if people are appealing to someones title or position of authority, they have already lost. The key is in the science, the data, and what it shows to be so by proper methodology.

Because it's science! It can't be wrong! lols

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they keep pushing global warming because it tends to get a lot of research dollars thrown their way when these other "disasters" didn't.

Some people are dopey enough to believe them this time. Those people are called Democrats.
Yeah, half of the black forest in Germany was decimated.
Acid rain is still a problem.

Just because you don't like science doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
