I just bypassed your straw purchase beater rule.
I think they need to tighten the reporting of gun thefts. There should be some requirement to report a stolen gun to the police within 1 month of your noticing its theft. Because that seems to be a common way guns end up in the hands of criminals. A friend gives them a gun. And then when the gun is confiscated during the commission of a crime, the friend claims it was stolen a year ago. And yes, that would put the onus on gun owners to check that their guns are securely and safely stored 12 times a year.

You're kidding, right?

If the government is destroying the supply, there is no open market, ergo market value is meaningless.

i will never do any background check on anyone I am selling firearms too. I do make them give me a ccw permit or something else i can check. I will also never submit to a background check either when buying a firearm.
