Portal Seven | U6 Unemployment Rate

U6
Jan 2009 14.2
Feb 2009 15.1

Worst months
Oct 2009-Dec 2009, Apr 2010 17.1

Jan 2013 14.4
If we shrink the total available work force then unemployment will look better, even the U6 is now unable to reflect how sad our work force has become

We need to create about 300,000 jobs a month just to keep up with the normal ebb and flow of the economy, that chart looks nice and blue, but we have a employment deficit. If that chart depicted the jobs gained compared to jobs lost, it would still be in the red.

Most people would be smart enoiugh to realize Obama wasn't president since 1959 so shouldn't get the blame for the entire time. So lets do the math:

Eisenhower - 1 yr
Kennedy - 2 yrs
Johnson - 6 years
Nixon- 6 years
Ford 2 years

Carter - 4 years
Reagan -8 years
Bush1 - 4 years

Clinton -8 years
Bush2- 8 years
Obama -4 years

So that's 29 yrs vs 24 years Looks like the Repugs can take the lion share of the blame Once you realize where the deficits came from, and who dropped the market... Repugs still have the blame.

So going from job losses each month to job gains each month is BS.

That's an interesting economic theory.

This is not about neener-neener politics, this is about our our economy, and Obama's policies have sustained and worsened the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Even spending trillions in new debt he cannot make things better, because with one hand he gives money to special interests and political and corporate cronies, and with the other hand he signs policies and legislation that kill jobs, increase costs, and drain away productivity..

Consumer Spending in U.S. Climbs Even as Taxes Hurt Incomes - Bloomberg

Policies of high taxes gave us the Clinton surpluses.
And America was in perfect condition with Clinton's tax rates.
But men like you prefer the GW Bush trickle down policies, and all the deficits that come with it.

And increased regulations do things like keep our drinking water safe.
Can you list a single Obama regulation that brought misery to America ??
Answer: No.

I heard that Obama is opening up more oil fields than GW Bush.
Can you show a source that shows your not lying above about energy exploration ??

And Obamacare saves 45,000 Americas from dying each year from no health insurance.
Americas best doctors want Obamacare, and Obamacare saves America money.

You actually said that Obama is lowering standard of living wages.
While republicans are against high min. wages.
And republican supply side tax cuts only go to the rich.
To say that democrats hurt standard of living wages is just plain stupid.

You said the dem's own this economy.
But the dem's have to pay for GW Bush's trickle down tax cuts (going on now).
And the dem's have to pay for Bush's "for nothing" Iraq war.

And you (manipulate) and imply that Obama is getting everything he wants, when republicans in congress are blocking him.

You said "Obama policies have done nothing but perpetuate poor economic activity."
Can you explain this, or list a source ??
Answer: No you can't because its a damn Fox news lie.

Posts like this one are highly manipulating. All you republicans are hiding the fact that GW Bush turned Clinton's surpluses into HUGE deficits (by supply side tax cuts, and a unneeded Iraq war.) And now you are blaming the ramifications of GW Bush's deficits on Obama.

As soon as GW Bush's tax cuts end, and GW Bush's Iraq war ends our deficits will go way down.

Thank God Mitt Romney did not get elected, he was going to add $6.6 trillion dollars to our national debt with this.

How big of a supply side/trickle down tax cut would you like our next republican president to do ???

What a far cry Barack "The Last Doom Bender" Obama is, compared to a great president who said:

"Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts."

Obama is the exact opposite, praying on our worst fears is mother's milk to him, it his only tool he has to force us to do things his way.

Perfect example of someone who is uninformed about the economy or has been brainwashed by yhe lame stream media.

Right away you mention the Clinton surplus which shows that you are a headline reader at best. If you have taken the time to look at the real numbers, you would realize that there was NO surplus, it was creative accounting and smoke & mirrors.

Then you mention safe drinking water. Ironically, I have been alive for 47 years and the drinking water I have had has always been safe. Not sure why these new regulations were put in place but maybe they are promoting some new form of Obama Kool-Aid that seems to be ingested by so many fools.

It is well known that the Obama administration was held in Contempt of Court after being order to allow more deep-water drilling and if in fact he has opened more oil fields it is simply because he shut them down. BTW, those regulations about deep water drilling were the reason why it took so long for BP to fix the problem during their oil spill.

U.S. in Contempt Over Gulf Drill Ban, Judge Rules - Bloomberg

The US is now more dependent on foreign oil than before thanks to Obama's policies.

Institute for Energy Research | Obama Policies Making US More Dependent on Persian Gulf Oil

The Bush Tax cuts caused the deficit? Wait, we all know and it has been widely shown that government revenues went up AFTER the Bush tax cuts. What happened at the same time was that spending went up. You want to just blame it on the war? Wait, federal spending on education alone was approx 750 billion since 2000 and test scores remained basically the same. Sounds like a good investment? Ummmm, NO!! But if you wanted to cut that spending, you would be demonized.

And why didn't you address entitlement spending? It accounts for 62% of the federal budget.

How many of these problesm has Obama tried to fix? None. Green energy is a failure, business is more regulated than ever, real unemployment is around 15%. We have a false investment of money supply via QE measures. Long term, we have a recipe for disaster.

So instead of being misinformed and just throwing out some drive-by media talking points, do some research and educate yourself so that you don't look to be the brainwashed liberal fool.

You know GW Bush turned Clinton's surpluses into huge deficits (with trickle down tax cuts and a unneeded Iraq war.)

But you never say a word about GW Bush turning Clinton's surpluses into (huge) deficits.
If you truly cared about deficits you would care about the huge deficits created by GW Bush.

R. Reagan also created huge deficits with supply side tax cuts, and fantasy land starwars and x-30 spending.
And if you truly cared about deficits you would care about the deficits created by R. Reagan.

Why don't you care about deficits created by Reagan and GW Bush ??
You don't care about deficits you are only pulling a Fox news army attack on Obama.

And what makes this really stupid is that Obama's deficits are caused by GW Bush's "trickle down" tax cuts (that are happening while Obama is in office.) Obama deficits are also being caused by Bush's "for nothing" Iraq war.

The fact is you love the deficits Reagan and GW Bush created.
You don't care about deficits.
