Memorial Day is end of May. There's no holiday for 3 months between middle of February until end of May.

Easter is on a Sunday, thats why it has not been a federal holiday. The federal government do not observe holidays that falls on a Sunday every year.

However, most things that are normally open on Sundays are closed for Easter, including shopping malls, department stores, some restaurants, most grocery stores, banks, libraries, etc.

13 U.S. states and territories already observe Good Friday as a holiday, which means state and local offices, courts, DMV's are closed. So how could it violate separation of church and state?

^^This.

It is very sad that the most religious western nation in the world, also the country with the largest number of Christians living in do not observe Good Friday. 98% of presidents both past and present were Christians, including the majority of the congress and supreme court, yet they are so weak and scared of what the minority will say. They constantly break first amendment, but when it comes to observing more religious national holidays they keep their mouth shut.

I will contact the congress about this. This is ridiculous and insulting to the majority.
Very horrible!

The fact that they do is a violation of church and state. The government should be neutral. The recognition of such is advancing religion, specifically advancing one religion over others.

Well they got away with it, so lets make it a federal holiday and be done. Then we won't ask for anything else.

Walking home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.
Granted, the reindeer ran over Grandma but Santa was the one driving, so he was responsible.

No, it should not be a federal holiday. Why are people asking for it? Can't people practice their religion on their own?
