Yes, the federal government could inform law enforcement of the information they have and have them act. In the end they are going to have to be able to defend that information.

I am aware of PC. Does that mean those Air Force fighters on 9/11 shouldn't have been given orders to shoot down those airliners about to crash into the WTC if the fighters were able?
