They are silent for same reason they are silent on the $6 trillion in new debt, and the level of poverty under this president, they are politically partisan hacks.

I would certainly agree that the parties take turns bashing each other on civil liberties, with usually the party out of power 'shocked, shocked' that the party in power is trampling liberties. But the Patriot Act can hardly be cited as a feather in Dem's hat when it comes to civil liberties.
