Nope.

My family is a wonderful rainbow. I'm mixed blood American Indian, my brother's wife of 40 years is first gen. Mexican American and her two children by her first husband are 1/2 Apache that were toddlers when they met and married. I was raised in Portland, OR. that was a real melting pot even back in the 50's. Plenty of American Indians and Pacific Rim people.

But of course I don't consider myself 'white' either.

I always like to post this humorous political cartoon in these race threads:

There is no national language. While English is the most spoken language, it's not official.

...And people are free to speak whatever language they want.

I wonder if it worried the Native Americans when it was clear that the white population was growing and the native population was shrinking.
I am sure it did. Do you want history repeating itself? More liberal? Oh joy!

There are lots of American expatriates in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua and a few other Spanish-speaking countries. As well, as others have pointed out, lots of Brits and other Europeans have weighed anchor in Spain.
