The money would be better spent on funding a teen health clinic.
Then how do you explain away the 35% drop in teen pregnancies in Milwaukee after a similar campaign?

Well teen pregnancy is dropping nation wide. But I would still love to see a source that supports that factoid.

To give them access to prevent a baby like condoms and birth control.

It was stated in the link provided by the OP.

All NYC high schools already provide free condoms and related information to the students.

All for it! Teen pregnancies are never good!

I am appalled that there are televisions programs that document the lives of teen "moms", and that there is now a magazine that is devoted to teen motherhood!

I am outraged.

I would agree. What ever it takes. There is seldom a good outcome for either child in this situation. The child mother or the child infant.

I don't know. Making teen pregnancy uncool might have an effect. It can't hurt.

To those who don't think these ads will make any difference........

how do you feel about anti-smoking ads aimed at teens that use the same tactic?

Just curious.

The ad campaign is good, but it would be smart to follow it up with actions that show society is no longer "enabling teen mothers". One good starting point would be phasing out the special schools that exist for teen mothers in many school districts. They should be required to attend school with the other students and not given special privileges.

That and this whole glamorizing teen moms. I remember when I was a teen in the 80's it was a horror to be pregnant and a teen. Teen moms were pitied. Now many think it's cool.

I like this campaign and the idiot woman in the video that said it's mean to teen moms, yes it is because it should be a shameful thing to get pregnant or get someone pregnant.
