This is the society you liberals have created. Kids are more medicated than ever, and can't deal with reality because you want to create a pseudo fantasy land. Counseling for pop tarts..

And these are the people teaching your kids.
Do you really wonder why our education system is on the decline ?

I had no idea of this thing until I hit the link.

What parent (especially a dad!) would admit that their child need counseling over something that stupid?

My wife and I avoided parents like that like the plague.

So, Obama says he has to lay off teachers, I didn't know we had federally paid teachers, because of the sequester, yet we can pay for this type of ridiculousness. Hmm!

A lot of special ed teachers are paid by the feds.

Title One program is paid by the feds, as an example.

I agree. Medicating them, Not allowing them to explore and play. Everything becomes a social issue or malady. Kids like this can become very sheltered and it could affect them in adulthood in some cases. back when me and the boys were kids, We got in all manner of mischief. Water balloons off the roof and backyard wrestling. Most turned out just fine.

Duncan says there's nothing else he can cut in the Dept of Education except Title 1 and
Sped.

That tells me that Title 1 and Sped are not priorities in the Dept of Education if they are the first ones to take financial hits.

And that money is given to the state and the state spends it so Duncan doesn't know that all that money actually goes towards teacher salaries.

Arne Duncan on Sequester: No Choice But to Cut Title I, Special Ed. - Politics K-12 - Education Week
He warned of $725 million in cuts to Title I, and $600 million to special education.

Here's a link to the Dept of Education FY2013 budget:
http://www.google.com/url?q=http://w...1NZBX9Le0XWbbw

The DOE got a $1.7 billion increase over FY2012. Pieces of their discretionary spending:
-$850 million for Race to the Top and $100 million for Promise Neighborhoods
-$1.1 billion to establish "Career Academies"
-$260 million for STEM and the goal to recruit 100K STEM teachers.
