Another moonbat teaching kids that there's no need to excel.....everyone gets a trophy.

Well golly gee - lets just eliminate all graduation standards - why not go all the way?

Just give every kindergardener a high school diploma.

Liberals.

Honors Night? Never had it when I was younger and my local Texas schools don't do it now. There is an awards assembly during the day for senior year that parents may attend but that's it.

Wrong, read the last paragraph - there are still awards but not a separate Honors Night where only recipients and their families are likely to show up.

"Fabrizio says he plans to include the honors ceremony with a previously planned end of the year assembly where students will be recognized in front of the entire student body."

Oh, oops. You weren't supposed to read the whole thing and blow his feeble attempt to take another shot at "liberals."

Personally, I agree with the principal, though probably not for the reason he's thinking. When my daughters went to those things, they went on for HOURS. One or two kids earned most of the honors, which is awesome for them, but sitting there for three or four hours while your kid goes up to the stage once or twice in that time is painful in those damn chairs!!! For my youngest, she told me not to bother. SHE didn't even want to go.

This is how the right wing propagandizes people that are too lazy and ignorant to understand important issues.

Give the some stupid, folktale, outlandish example, that's easy for them to grasp. No thinking required. All you need to to is reinforce their prejudices and stereotypes.

Oh, look what all the liberals are doing again! ......LOL...............DUHHHHHHHHHHHH

Meanwhile, the party that FOX promotes is driving the effort to cut these saps Social Security......LOL

No problem with that. They'll take a 13% cut in benefits http://www.cbo.gov/publication/42683.......at least that liberal Principal was exposed!

School says this was an erroneous report by Fox News:

"We did not cancel honors recognition as erroneously reported by FOX News Boston. We changed our Honors Night from an exclusive ceremony at night to an all-inclusive ceremony during the day in the presence of the entire student body. During this ceremony we will honor those who have excelled in academics, in athletics, in the arts and in the related arts. Any reports to the contrary are incorrect. "
