The condos would be for the rich, at the expense of the poor.

As far as Friedman and his disciples are concerned, the poor would probably just be sent back into the bush.

And what exactly would you consider your silly post if not a fallacious argument? You quite clearly decided to link my post with Chavez when I quite clearly made an effort to divide the policy as being distinct from him. I Eschewed Chavez, and then you shoved in my face.

And since I have educated myself under the polices that fall under the progressive era, I am not pretending.

Anyone with any sense would choose the first option.
Unless they kill you if you don't subscribe to their version of healthcare, education, poverty reduction, and housing.

I would rather be free and poor than at the mercy of a dictator. Your might choose otherwise. Luckily you have that freedom. For now.

I didn't claim that. You will note the word "unless".

Many dictators around the world have in fact killed thousands of their own citizens while otherwise providing a stable lifestyle. Saddam comes to mind.

Those oil profits are being made off what as built by the private sector. Production goes down every year, the only thing increaseing is the debt (yes debt), bloated state management, environmental damage and worker accidents...

Saddam - you mean the guy supported by the Western capitalist states during the 80's ?

hmmm, that's funny - because if dictators like Saddam are acceptable then why isn't Chavez?

can you not fail to see the hypocrisy here........

The private, foreign owned, sector - taking the oil and profits out of Venez.

what's so great about that?

how would you feel if your tenants decided to steal the fittings from your house, or maybe the tiles from your roof.

not a problem right, seeing as you agreed to let them rent in the first place
