President Bush appointed five black cabinet members - Collin Powell and Condalezza Rice(Secretary of State), Rod Paige(Secretary of Education), Alphonso Jackson(HUD Secretary), and Eric (place)Holder(acting Attorney General).
Brack Obama has only appointed one black cabinet member?
The liberals must think that he is racist.
When President Obama tried to appoint Susan Rice, the right went ape $#!%
and Eric Holder does not count as he was only the assistant Attorney general and only took the spot while it was vacated.
it is funny how you conservatives continue to comment on the amount of black people in his cabinet while continuing to make the argument that he himself is only in his position because of his race, and what happened to picking the best person based on the experience and character ????
It's time to trash the "CBC's" of the US. The LAST glass ceiling for "Black" people was taken out by Obama, 2 times.
Sure. But everyone else's has to go first before we dump ours...and I don't even care about the CBC. It's just the principle.
We'll dump it when we feel like it, and not at your behest.
As for your glass ceiling opinion, well...I never claimed that there's a glass ceiling to begin with. And even if there is or isn't one, we'll determine that, not you.
It's the double standard, if this was a white President you'd never hear the end of it.
Gimme the proof of that.
You're trying to be slick, but reading you is too easy.
You want blacks to pester Obama abiut more black appointees, although you don't REALLY want them to be nominated. And when the president is white (and conservative), you want us to be quiet and disappear.
That's easy to read. You shouldn't be so transparent. Lol
That said, don't worry about it. If we have something to say, we'll say it. It's outta your hands.
Both Bush and Clinton had very diverse cabinets. Had that not been the case you would of never heard the end of it especially with Bush.
How do you know that though ? There is no evidence to support the claim that you would have never heard the end of it, And the truth is, Obama's cabinet is just as diverse when you are not just talking about a black/white mix, but a black white, male, female, latino, and asian mix.
It seems people are only seeing in black and white.
Once again the word "diversity" is proven to be the liberals' racist code word for "no white people allowed". As if white folk don't contribute to the diversity of racial makeup.

Well, the right is freaking out over Holder as well.
Just as they freaked out over Van Jones.
and Shirley Sherrod.
And over Barack Obama, to be honest. The idea that Obama is the problem here is a joke.
ETA: and actually, the right wing is freaking out over Michelle Obama, and she's not even an official.
You're suggesting that if Bush had a nearly all white cabinet the black community wouldn't be highly critical of it?
ROFL....... what planet are you on?
