at this point it makes no difference to me. i dont watch any of those shows, and if federal funding was pulled the left would scream bloody murder and call the conservatives all kinds of nasty names.

Honey Boo Boo because all the minor characters are on welfare? Just my best guess, I have not a clue in reality. But.... NONE OF THEM SHOULD BE SUBSIDIZED. NONE.

No. It's because these shows get paid by state governments to do production in those states. In many cases, the government pays up to 35% of the production costs (everything, including salaries.)

They call it economic development, but when it's PBS receiving far less in subsidies it's an outrage.
