A republicans starts a forum to blame democrats for voting for a war that Republicans still agree was the right thing, it is hilarious.

Sad...That's why you cowards should never ,ever complain about Iraq. Meanwhile , myself I listened to Dr Ron Paul and opposed this calamity from the get go.

Not ALL Democrats voted for the war, many did not.

However, ALL Republicans, minus only a few, voted for the war. And the President and Vice President LIED to everyone about the necessity of that nightmare, so the Democrats were gullible and naive to believe the words of PROVEN liars and con artists like the neocons.

Dr. Ron Paul had/has the best insight into the lies surrounding the build up for war, however, he was universally loathed and marginalized by his party, a party of liars

Yet it was YOUR party who created the very thing you blame the opposing party for?

This is the state of education in America. Very sad.

you might want to read post number 16 and note how many DEMOCRATS said the SAME things bush said, as much as TWO YEARS BEFORE bush became president. so if bush was lying, then all those democrats were also lying.

But the Bush administration had the intelligence on WMD's, and they lied about it--they said they were there as a justification for war, when they weren't. I don't think you remember the times--Americans on both sides were trying to pull together, despite their differences, to support the president in a crisis. When people give you that kind of trust, and then you take advantage of it and LIE, it's evil. I think Bush was just as much out of the loop as Congress though. Dick Cheney was behind it, and should be locked up for the rest of his life--not only for this, but for treason for the Valarie Plame mess.

No, wrong. The Democrats had the votes to stop it in the Senate but they voted for it by a 2:1 margin.

The question is, have we learned our lesson yet? There are still powerful politicians agitating for war with Iran, or increased military intervention in Syria. Will they be rightfully shoved aside and ignored, or will we see a repeat of the 2002-2003 buildup to war?

Witness the mental gymnastics a liberal goes through to absolve his party of their vote.

When you go to ridiculous lengths like that, all you do is damage your credibility when it comes to other posts.

Watch this:

I'm a Republican. I voted for Bush. He let us into an unnecessary war based on faulty intelligence. I wish he hadn't done that.

See? Honesty isn't that hard.

It's the same as when Democrats start a thread about some Republican who had an affair. The point is the hypocrisy, not what was actually done. We don't call this the Democrat War but liberals call it Bush's War when they voted for it. It never would have happened without Democrat support, prominent Democrats advocated for it at the time, but once the war became unpopular then it became Bush's War. It's not that we fault Democrats for voting for it, it's that we fault Democrats for trying to score points off of opposing it after they voted for it.
