This post doesn't have anything to do with Bill Maher but the thread title reminded me of it. Has anyone seen the Passat TV commercial where the guy mentions the Lame Stream Media? I thought I'd fall off my couch from laughing so hard.

Well, because he is now one of those "other people" who's money he's been promoting "redistibuting" for a long time.

Default Liberal fanatic Bill Maher may leave California - because of high taxes!

"Restrictions for thee, but not for me!"
It's always funny to see liberals react when they find out they have to pay the high taxes they keep trying to impose on others, too.

Bill Maher on California Income Taxes: 'Liberals - You Could Actually Lose Me'

By Noel Sheppard | March 16, 2013 | 11:36

Speaking about the taxes the rich pay particularly in California, the host of HBO's Real Time said, "Liberals - you could actually lose me" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Pointing at Virginia's former Republican Congressman Tom Davis, Maher said, "You know what? Rich people - I'm sure you'd agree with this - actually do pay the freight in this country."

"I just saw these statistics," he continued, "I mean, something like 70 percent. And here in California, I just want to say liberals - you could actually lose me. It's outrageous what we're paying - over 50 percent. I'm willing to pay my share, but yeah, it's ridiculous."

So it appears there is a point where Maher's money becomes more important than his politics.

"A conservative is a liberal who just got mugged."

And the taxes in the People's Republic of California are about as close as you can come to being mugged, as possible without your life being in danger.

Yes, because he decided that the alternative would be even MORE of a threat to his (and our) liberty.

I love that at the end of the article there is a way to donate to Newbusters, way to really hold your hands out for money guys....as for Maher, has he started looking for other states to move to? Wealthy people like living in California for a reason. Bill Maher is like Bill O'Reilly, they are first and foremost entertainers.

Typical leftist liberal. He is filthy rich, never had to work a real job, believes in high taxes for the middle class but not for himself. He adores all the big government crap but he wants others to pay for it.
