Uh, who is the victim here?
Quote:
A Manhattan millionaire faces three years in jail for drawing an unlicensed gun on a burglar inside his home.
George Bardwil, who owns linen company Bardwil Home, was in his E Street apartment when an intruder came into his home in January, The Daily Mail reports.
Mr. Bardwil, 60, threatened the intruder with a loaded .40 cal Sig Sauer. The man fled and Mr. Bardwil called the police.
After showing the cops footage from his home surveillance cameras, they arrested him under suspicions of owning an illegal firearm.
The businessman’s lawyer, Michael Bachner, told the New York Post that the gun is legally registered to the defendant’s bodyguard.
“There’s no dispute that George was being burglarized,” Mr. Bachner said. “George had been the victim of multiple burglaries, and the DA’s office concedes that it was used in self defense.”

If it was not for the liberals in this country, a man protecting his home would not be facing any charges. I remember a time when all of this liberal BS did not exist, and the country was much better.

I think it's absurd for you people to label all liberals as gun haters. I'm a liberal but I support the right of law abiding citizens to own and use guns to defend their families and property. That burglar wouldn't have walked away like that had he been in my home.

I'd take this to trial. No one would convict him.

The charges will be dropped as NY won't want the law challenged in the courts. This is a guy that could do that.

The guy lives in NY and had an unregistered gun. How exactly is he going to get off? On the other hand he is a millionaire so I will be surprised if he spends a day behind bars.

You think "liberals" stopped that? Didn't liberals filibuster the civil rights act more than once?
