I was going to say - atheists don't think twice about St. Paddy's Day because they
know St. Patrick was an actual living person...
- with actual proof of his existence, written in his OWN hand.

Like me, not many atheists "protest" these other holidays either, including Christmas.
Most celebrate these holidays like everyone else in the secular spirit that
they have become, e.g. bunny, colored eggs, candy, decorations, Santa Claus,
and Green Beer on St. Paddy's Day.

My corned beef and cabbage will be ready in just 1 more hour - Yum,
and then off to the Irish pub

Lots of stupidity on the internet, people claiming Christmas has become commercialized.
Yeah, sure, whatever you say, and Adam And Eve were the first humans and Noah saved all the animals on earth. Lots of stupidity indeed.

I didn't realize they had Black Friday in the 1700's, is Walmart that old?

Obviously atheists like green beer...

That is odd - most people I know spend the day with their families, volunteer at a shelter, or watch football games somewhere.

They aren't shopping - that's for sure.
I'm not talking about on Christmas day. I meant "on the topic of Christmas"...referring to the OP.

Besides, Christmas isn't a one day holiday. It's basically a month long.

Atheists protest Christmas? Since when??? I live in the Bay Area, where you'll probably find more Atheists than just about anywhere (in the US), and have never witnessed a Christmas protest - in fact, the whole region is lit up & celebrating like any other that time of year.

Atheists do not "protest" ANY day. They only get annoyed when other people want "their" day universally accepted and acknowledges and celebrated by all. I've never heard of anyone starting a boycott because the cashier didn't say "Happy St Patricks Day"...why is that?

Nope, I don't think they do either! The whole "war on Christmas/Christians" is mostly a FOX News fantasy, while I've yet to see any evidence of it in real life. You're a Bay Area-ite too; have you ever witnessed an Atheist-led protest?

Kansas City Atheists Kicked Out of St. Patrick's Day Parade out of 'Respect for St. Patrick'
This isn't illegal discrimination. This is a privately-run parade and the organizers have every right to ban groups they don’t like.

LoL Good for them.
Every year in December, thousands of Atheists come together in my neck of the woods and launch a HUGE protest against Christianity: The Million-Atheist-March.

Same on Easter.

They are everywhere. Everywhere, I tell you.

On second thought, they are just in your head because I have never ever seen anyone (let alone a group of Atheists) band together to protest Christianity.

What I have seen is people protesting the violation of the Constitution when extremist Christians attempt to force Christianity onto others. Alas, I am under the impression that this has nothing to do with "hating" Christianity. It has everything to do with loving this country and its Constitution. You see, if Muslims or Jews started force-feeding us their religions, they'd be looking at the same type of protest.

You wouldn't know about that, though, would you? Nah, you are too busy wondering why your need to force Christianity onto all of us isn't received with wide, open arms by everyone.
