It's not meant to be. This is a troll thread--albeit an active one, but a troll thread nonetheless.
It goes on the RW's position that they have a lock on Christianity, or religion in general. The simple answer is, they don't.
What started out as simple idea: Love God, Love your neighbor, has turned into a tangled mass of ritual, meanness and hyprocrisy. Those who put themselves out there as an example of a perfect Christian may want to ask themselves just who Christ was the most angry at? The money changers in the Temple, and the hypocrites.
Conservative Christian zealots and the Pharisees Jesus got pissed with, have a lot in common.
This particular passage from the New Testament doesn't even need the word. It describes it in detail:
"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."
(Romans 1)
Read the whole letter. (which I doubt you ever have). Especially the verses right before the one you took out of context.
The people were heterosexuals in 1st century Corinth where there were temples to pagan gods and goddesses. The men and women were involved in ritual sex orgies with each other while worshipping pagan fertility gods. Then because they had turned away from Paul's 'god', the women engaged in ritual anal sex with men, and likewise the men engaged in ritual anal sex with men.
What's that got to do with gay and lesbian people?

You are free to believe what you want. But if you make any attempt to remove the word "homosexuality" from the Bible's many references as being abominations, then it seems to me that you are removing something from the word of God.
Even if you only try to "explain" it away as an interpretation. Be warned!
Tell that to the translators who first added it in 1946.
If you attempt to add the word "not kill" to God's commandments (in addition to "not murder") then you might be effectively "adding" to the word of God if that is your intention.
(And there is a consequence for that as well.)
While we are on the topic, I consider abortion to be a form of murder (not just killing).
What 'warning' are you referring to? It only refers to the prophecies in the book of Revelations.

Not quite. An openly proud homosexual who claims to be a Christian is no different than an openly proud hedonist (drinker, dancer, clubber, fornicator, etc) of any type who says that they love God and that's all that matters.
It's a joke and an insult to God.
