America is the best of the rich countries in which to be poor and by a considerable distance.

You should make this into a poll.

America is by far the worst 1st would country to be poor in, but it is also by far the best to be rich in. Australia or Germany are probably the best to be poor in.

I haven't been to enough poor countries to compare.

I can say though, that I don't think there are many other developed countries that have such high murder rates in some of its neighborhoods.

Of first world countries, the poorest in America have it the worst off. This is hardly an argument.
