These imperial formulae change very slowly, if ever.
So basically what you're saying is we've got a few more years before Obama loving retards wise up?

Threads like this one serve as a potent reminder that the richest 1% will always have poor white trash ready to step up and carry their water for them.

Some wise man once defined the Republican Party as "the conspiracy of the rich and the stupid".

Never heard that, but it is 100% spot on.

"This, then, is held to be the duty of the man of wealth: To set an example of modest, unostentatious living, shunning display or extravagence; to provide moderately for the legitimate wants of those dependent upon him; and, after doing so, to consider all surplus revenues which come to him simply trust funds, which he is called upon to administer, and strictly bound as a matter of duty to administer in a manner which, in his judgement, is best calculated to produce the most beneficial results for the community"

Not Karl Marx. Not Mao Tse-Tung. Not Fidel Castro. Not Saul Alinsky.

Socrates, Plato or Aristotle?

One of the three (wisely) stated that politicians should not be paid, they should take an oath to work for the common good without pay, focusing their energies on others and not themselves.

Wonder how that philosophy would play with the Tea Party?

And your point?
The President is an elected official and in office to SERVE the US Citizens. He is not there to make money or be treated like a king.

But Obama is paid almost half a million dollars per year for the rest of his life, this despite the fact that he will get multi-million dollar book deals and million-dollar speaker's fees.

In fact on the contrary, he is exactly there to be treated like a king. The role of the president in our constitution was precisely to act, as head of state, as a replacement for a king: the president is a ersatz, temporary, constitutional monarch.

Oh, so this is really another "wealth inequality" thread. See the other thread from last week.
