It was the most pro-Israel speech ever delivered by a US President. I was surprised as he went on. When Bush made his Israel speech we went on about how Israel needs to pull out of Gaza (which they did, - big mistake) and how the Palestinians need to be allowed to vote (which they did, and put a terrorist organization in power).
Yet Obama has also made the most pro-Muslim speech in Cairo ever delivered by a US President as well. After that speech in Cairo I saw many posters here on Citydata stating he is muslim becuase of that. Yet one of the reasons Obama is disliked is becuase people out there don't trust him.
Yet a factor influencing his trip and speech was a majority of Americans still see Israel as a friend to America and support continuing relations. Yet another reason why he went over there is to negiotate with Israel to resume relations with Turkey and just recently the Isreali Prime Minister has issued a apology to the Turkish Prime Minister on the Isreal killing of 9 Turkish nationals several years ago and to give the survivors compensation. After that Turkey and Isreal has restablished formal relations.
I'm not overestimating anything. I'm taking Peres and his words at face value. Simple as that. I'm in no position, nor are you, to tell the Israelis their business.
C'mon, helene.
You know these guys read minds.
Yep, they know what everyone is thinking.
They're special.

Have to go back 30+ years to make a point?
Really.
